Waiting times for sexual health clinics (GUM) were increasing, and services were rapidly falling into disrepair. The British Association of Sexual Health and HIV asked Munro & Forster to reverse that decline.
We worked with BBC’s Panorama to expose the crisis in sexual health provision. An All-Party Parliamentary Group on Sexual Health was established, and we launched the first national standards for the management of Sexually Transmitted Infections.
The Government announced that sexual health services would be one of its top six priorities for action. The standards were supported by all stakeholders and 48-hours access targets to GUM clinics were met across the country.
